What is the procedure regarding acceptance of the Contractor’s programme?
If a programme is not identified in the Contract Data, the Contractor submits a first programme to the Project Manager for acceptance within the period stated in the Contract Data (see Clause 31.1). A programme is either in the Contract Data part two at the Contract Date or is submitted by the Contractor within a period stated in the Contract Data part one. Any programme issued by the Contractor after the starting date should be accepted or rejected in writing within two weeks of issue.
The contractual procedure is clear what to me is of even greater importance are the working practices between the Project Manager (planner) and the Contractor. What will they do every day, every week, every month to keep the programme upto date.
The clause which governs acceptance is 31.3. I absolutely agree with Barry’s comment though. I.e. How will they communicate so that contractual acceptance under 31.3 is a formality.
