Does the Contractor have to obey an instruction which changes the Works Information?
Yes. If it is given in accordance with the contract, the Contractor is obligated to obey such an instruction (this is equivalent to the obligation to obey variations of the contract administrator under the JCT). However, a change to the Works Information may be a compensation event under clause 60.1(1). If the Contractor considers he is required to do something which is illegal or impossible, he notifies the Project Manager immediately.
