What are the general differences between the ECC and the TSC?

What are the general differences between the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) and the Term Service Contract (TSC)?

Put simply, the ECC is intended for project work where an asset is produced or changed. Therefore, it comes to an end when something (e.g. a building) is complete; hence there is a programme and a critical path for doing so. The TSC, on the other hand, is intended for maintaining or operating an asset. It ends on a set date and therefore has no critical path programme. Instead, it has a plan concerning how the services are to be provided.
