Is there an alternative to nominating Subcontractors which achieves a similar objective?

Aside from nominating Subcontractors, the Employer can retain a degree of control over the selection of Subcontractors in the following ways: Including in the Works Information lists of Subcontractors which are acceptable to the Employer. The Contractor then appoints a Subcontractor from this list; making the Contractor responsible for all work. When the Contractor subcontracts parts of the work, the Project Manager can withhold acceptance; and providing for separate contracts, with the time and physical interfaces between them managed by the Project Manager.
