Can an architect state specifically when a contract must amend defective work under an JCT Standard Building Contract 2009 contract or is it permissible for a contractor to delay this process until shortly before completion?

In principle, the contractor is entitled to plan work to suit his / her own schedule. However, the architect can issue a compliance instruction that must be met within a week at any time.
