This is dealt with by JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2009 clause 2.10 and JCT Minor Works Building Contract with Contractor’s Design 2009 clause 2.11. In effect, there is no specific legal requirement for a schedule of defects to be issued. The architect is required to give notice requiring defects during the construction period.
