What happens if the Project Manager does not respond to the Contractor's programme?

If the Project Manager does not respond to the Contractor’s programme within two weeks, is this treated as acceptance?

If there is no response to the Contractor’s programme, this is not treated as acceptance; in fact, the only circumstances where no reply is treated as acceptance are associated with compensation events. Under the ECC, not responding to the programme at all is a compensation event. The Contractor will notify the Project Manager of this compensation event. If the Project Manager does not reply either agreeing or disagreeing that the event is a CE, the Contractor may remind him that he has not responded. If the Project Manager does not respond to this reminder within two weeks, the compensation event is deemed accepted. It is important to note that it is the CE which is deemed accepted, not the Contractor’s programme.
