What happens if the Project Manager and the Contractor fail to agree an extension to the period for reply?

If the Project Manager and the Contractor fail to agree an extension to the period for reply but the Project Manager and the Supervisor reply within the period required then the event is not a compensation event. If, however, the Project Manager and the Contractor fail to agree an extension to the period for reply and the Project Manager and the Supervisor do not reply within the period required, then the Contractor should notify of a compensation event under Clause 60.1(6) ‘The Project Manager or Supervisor does not reply to a communication from the Contractor within the period required by the contract’.
