We have had a multi way lights system with operative on site (subcontractor supplied) while we complete a section of works, however the local authority has requested that the traffic management arrangement will also need an operative during the weekends due to the traffic flow. The original agreement was that this section was manned during the working week only, this obviously increases the Contractor’s cost would this be a valid CE to raise the Prices? Contract is NEC3 Option C.

Hi the test for whether it’s a change or compensation event is whether the works information has changed. I’d suggest you check the works info and see what the client specified at the start. You should have priced for this and any difference is a CE.
