How to close out a notified Defect that turns out not to have been a Defect

If the Supervisor has notified a Defect, without instructing a search for one, which later turns out not to have been a Defect, what course of action can the Contractor take?

If the Supervisor and Contractor agree that there is no Defect then there is no action to take. If Completion is yet to be certified then this non Defect will not prevent that from happening or the Defect Certificate from being issued when the time comes.

If there is disagreement about whether or not there is a Defect then this should be resolved using the early warning procedure. Ultimately if it became a sticking point then the dispute resolution procedures should be used.
