Employer or Contractor name change

Under NEC3 / NEC4, what needs to happen when either the Employer / Client or the Contractor has a company name change? Is it as simple as issuing a GC notifying of the change or are there more contractual requirements?

Deed of variation is required, as per Cl.12.3. All parties need to sign the amended contract, you would need to amend Contract Data Part 1. Worth checking if the “name change” invalidates any insurances or bonds ?
