In contract data part 1, under the section for “Start Date” is it possible to put “the Start Date is the same date as the Contract Date” ? The Contract Date being the date when all parties sign, the Contractor can therefore start on the same day.
Yes, nothing wrong with that provided you are ready for an immediate start.

Just to add that the ‘starting date’ is linked to a number of contract procedures, including; early warning, programme, payments and insurances, with the commencement of these procedures not directly linked to commencement of actual work on Site, which does not start until the first ‘access date’.
