The Contractor has not obtained acceptance of his design of Equipment. Can the Contractor still proceed?

Yes. The Contractor can proceed even if the design of an item of Equipment has not been accepted. Consequently, the Project Manager should obtain details of temporary works before work is going to be done so that he can register concerns he might have before the Contractor proceeds.
