New feature - Thread timeline view

Where contracts notices have been tagged and a users wishes to see all of the communications associated with a particular event. This new timeline display or report will provide a list of notices and events in chronological order. The timeline report will accessible under the report tab with each project and show a view of all notices under a contract in chronological order and provide users with the ability to filter down the view by tags and workflow types, so that the users can see the historic sequence of events and notices on a project or a collection of events and notices, based on the selected filters.

The timeline report will show the following:-

  • Coloured icon to represent the notice type,
  • Name and reference of the notice e.g. “PM-Warning-00003”,
  • The title of the notice e.g. “Blocked site entrance”
  • The dates and time of the update or status change,
  • A RAG colour code status update badge e.g. communicate, replied to, accepted, not accepted, submitted, etc.,
  • A truncated view of the first say 50 words of detailed provided with the notice and
  • A hyperlink to the notices.

The report will display the first 50 records.

The report header will have buttons to allow users to export the report in CSV format as a table view or print the report. The header will also contain a buttons that allows the report to be filtered down by tags, workflow, party and date range.

The report will default to all workflows, for all parties, and all tags and the title to the report will read in this case “Displaying all activity, by everyone tagged any”. When just the compensation workflows, is selected for the client and “Displaying a workflow type, by 1 party tagged any”.

@Steve.Webley typed up my notes on the threaded view that you had asked for. Let me know if i have missed anything or where we can simplify it further.

Steve might also be useful to have the same report available from each notification as a pre-filtered view of the timeline to do with that notice. Thoughts?
