Which is more important - planned Completion or Completion Date?

Most important milestone in programme is planned Completion. If this is beyond the Completion Date then the Contractor is liable to pay Delay Damages. If ever there is a compensation event, the test is to see how much it has affected planned completion - you then move Completion Date by the same amount. Completion Date movement is the by-product of what happened to planned. This is why planned Completion is so important.
