I am need of some advise and would truly appreciate if someone could shed some light on the below.
On one of my current projects we have been notified of a power issue on site by the contractor which will cause a delay to our mobilisation date however in order to mitigate its impact we have decided to request the contractor to proceed with the site compound setup using generators to power.
Since this counts as a compensation event. I am not certain on the way to proceed when it comes to implementing the CE. We are uncertain of the duration it will take to rectify the power issue and the contractor QS proposes to price the quote on a 2month period. Only thing I am skeptical about is if I was to implement the CE Alan’s the generator period on site is less than implemented it can adversely affect us on the pain/gain.
