What criteria need to be satisfied in order for a local authority to be satisfied with an individual buildings plan's drainage arrangements?

The local authorities take the matter of drainage very seriously, and will be concerned with the following:

	     satisfactory provision has been made for drainage;

	     cesspools, private sewers, septic tanks, drains, soil pipes, rain water pipes, spouts, sinks and other appliances have all been provided for satisfactorily;

	     all sewers connected directly to any public sewer cannot admit subsoil water;

	     cesspools, private sewers and drains do not present a public threat to health or nuisance;
