NEC ECC: How does the terms "site" and "working areas" affect assessment of any potential compensation event?

The site is explained in contract data part one as the location in Works Information but working areas disproved by Contractor in contract data part 2?

I’m not really sure what you are asking here, but the definition of Working Areas is important in relation to assessment of Defined Cost under the Schedule of Cost Components for the following;

  • People,
  • Equipment,
  • Plant and Materials.

These are all to be incurred within the Working Areas to be included as Defined Cost, notwithstanding the changes to People under NEC4 and vesting of materials off site.

A CE quotation, however, is potentially based on both actual and forecast Defined Cost so there is a presumption that the above would actually apply for the forecast part of an assessment.
