Nec 3: Option A: when accepting a quotation for acceleration the contract allows amendment of the prices, completion date and key dates, as given in clause 36.3. Question: would the date for liquidated damages automatically move forward with the new Completion Date ?
Yes it would so the Contractor needs to price the increase risk of delay damages for an earlier Completion Date with an acceleration quotation. That is the reason that a Project Manager can not make their own assessment of a Contractor acceleration quotation - it has to be by agreement.
