Bills of quantities state that contractors can take possession of up to eight houses at one time. Is the contractor entitled to take possession of more than eight houses in a refurbishment contract under JCT Standard Building Contract 2009?

This issue can vary from case to case. But fundamentally what is written in the printed contract stands. It is not legally permitted for items in the bills of quantities to override what is written in the contract.
