We are engaged in a NEC3 Option A contract.
Access to the Site has been delayed, due to rain and flooding.
Does the Contractor have valid reason/grounds to raise a Compensation Event under clause 60.1(2) or other, as the Contractor has already completed the fabrication works, in the workshop (which is listed as a Working Area in the Contract Data) and is now incurring costs due to the delay, as the personnel specifically employed and trained for the project, are now standing?
