Acceptance of NCE

We, the Contractor, have notified a Compensation Event. Within the 1 week reply period, the Project Manager requested a 2 week extension to reply, to which we agreed.

The Project Manager has now not replied by the extension date agreed, are we required to notify the failure, allowing the PM a further 2weeks or are we able to deem the notified CE as accepted and proceed to submit a quotation?
