If an employer enters into a partnership with another contractor, does this then supersede the legitimacy of the JCT Standard Building Contract 2009?

Should both parties have entered into a contract such as NEC3 of PPC2000 then this will ultimately be legally binding, and any breach of it by either party will lead to the other party being in a position to take legal proceedings, either with regards to adjudication,
