Why is the start date significant?
The start date is important for a number of matters under the ECC. Firstly, it sets the beginning of the period from which forecasts of the total cost of the works are prepared. Secondly, it begins the interval from which revised programmes must be submitted. Thirdly, the start date must be shown on each programme the Contractor submits. Lastly, it sets the time parameter for when risks are insured.
