Hi,

We are working on an NEC 4 project where downtime has occurred due to ground conditions not known in the Scope. A CE has been issued, can I claim charges for welfare to the labour element of the downtime? In theory those workers where stood and utilising the welfare, they will also be onsite for more days and while this doesnt affect programme essentially there are more workers on site.

If it’s cost you will incur because of the CE then yes
