# NEC3 ECC: Where is water supply for cabins recovered within Defined Cost?

Is the provision of water for the site cabins a cost included within the WAO fee applied to the people cost as supplies for sanitation etc or is it a Charge as defined in the SCC? This is for an ECC option C contract (would it be different with option A?)

Charges 41 of the Schedule of Cost Components says "Payments for provision and use in the Working Areas of

- water
- …"  
So ‘Yes’, it can be charged for directly as a Defined Cost under option C and for that matter D and E.

Under option A, 'Defined Cost only applies for compensation events, but the provision of water is included in the percentage for People overheads. I.e. it canNOT be charged for directly.
