Hi,

I am a contractor operating under Main Option C. On 1/11/2024, the Project Manager instructed us to submit a quotation for a proposed instruction, which is expected to be issued around 16/12/2024. I understand that the instruction should not be put into effect until formally issued, but the proposed quotation must still be submitted.

Could you please clarify what is the dividing date in the case of proposed instruction under clause 65? Is it on the date the Project Manager instructed us to submit the quotation (1/11/2024), or the date the instruction is expected to be issued (16/12/2024)?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi welcome to the community.
since it is a quotation for a proposed compensation event, the quotation should be based forecast Defined Cost. I suggest that it would also be useful to request the PM states the 16/12/24 as a Project Manager’s assumption. The quote would therefore be a forecast based on the instruction being on the 16.12.24
