NEC3 ECC: X18 Contractor's liability

If within contract data part 1 X18.1 states that Contractor’s liability is limited to Nil, does it mean no liability for the Contractor for indirect or consequential loss?

It does. Do, however, remember that this does not apply to time related damages for late Completion after the contractual Completion Date.

Just picking up on this, I agree with Jon that a limitation of nil means no liability not no limitation. However, there are four excluded matters, damage to the Employers property, delay damages if X7 is used, low performance damages if X17 is used and the contractors share under options C and D. So, generally there are more grounds than Jon mentioned. Also, as a slight nuance on Jon’s answer, the nil liability WILL apply to time related damages UNLESS they are a delay damages deduction under X7.
