Does retention apply to the following:

Dayworks?
Prime Costs?
Liquidated Damages?

Retention applies to Dayworks and Prime Costs as they a part of the valuation of Variations using the Valuation Rules. Clause 4.14.1.1 states that these are subject to Retention.

Liquidated Damages are deducted by the Employer from the amount payable and only after the issue of various notices, refer to clause 2.32. They are deducted in full from the net amount due (after Retention) so on that basis are not subject to Retention.
