NEC ECC: No work on programme

The Contractors 1st programme shows a few "no work days for the main gang" items as their subcontractor needs the space. The Contractor then programmes in other work. As the programme is subject to change. If the subcontractor completes early. Can the client insist our main gang work on the "no work days" ?

No the Client  can not "insist" as it is your programme and your prerogative as to how you do the works efficiently for yourself whilst meeting any contractual deadlines. They may question why you wouldn't, but you would assume you have your reasons otherwise surely you would.
