ECC Main Option A and Inflation under Compensation Events

Under an NEC3 ECC Main Option C. The Employer has delayed the works by 4 months. As part of this Compensation Event, with X1 not being used in the contract, is the Contractor able to claim any uplifts to prices over the remaining works under the quotation for compensation event?

In short 'Yes', as the compensation event will have affected Defined Costs. Consequently, the Contractor is entitled to those changes in Defined Costs which are due to "the effect of the compensation event" as per clause 63.1. i.e. the 4 month delay.
