A consultant has requested to increase a skill level of a resource in an option G contract since he has taken up more responsibility in the project, how does one handle this change within the contract

Presumably, an increased level of skill resource is because the Consultant is now being instructed  to do something that was not in the original Scope. I.e. there is a change in Scope which is a compensation event.

Thanks Jon, There is no instruction to the Consultant for additional work. His rationale is that the particular resource has taken more responsibility within the project hence the need to elevate him
