With regards to adjudication, are the various time periods of significance?

Yes, in fact there is a very strict timetable regarding adjudication that must be obeyed. The basic time periods involved in adjudication are covered by the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, but the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998 may add additional time to the timetable.
